Count Up Rules - How to Play

Count Up is a straightforward darts game where players accumulate points over a set number of rounds. Every dart scores its face value - singles, doubles, and triples all count their full multiplied value. Simple to learn and fun for all skill levels.

Winning: Highest score after all rounds, or first to reach the target score.

How to Play

1. All players start with 0 points
2. Players take turns throwing three darts per turn
3. Every dart scores: face value × multiplier (singles, doubles, triples all count)
4. Points are added to your running total each round
5. Play continues until all rounds are complete or the target score is reached

Scoring

All segments on the board score their full value:

Segment	Points	Example
Single	Face value	S20 = 20 points
Double	Face value × 2	D20 = 40 points
Triple	Face value × 3	T20 = 60 points
Outer Bull	25 points	25 = 25 points
Inner Bull	50 points	D25 = 50 points

Maximum per turn: 180 points (T20 + T20 + T20)

Play Modes

Mode	Options	Description
Rounds	4, 6, 8, 10, or 12	Fixed number of rounds; highest score wins
Target Score	300, 500, 750, or 1000	First player to reach the target wins

Default: 8 rounds or 500 points.

Overtime

If scores are tied at the end of the final round (in Rounds mode), overtime begins:

• Players continue throwing additional rounds (3 darts per round)
• After each overtime round, scores are compared
• First player to have a clear lead after a complete round wins

Strategy Tips

• Aim for T20 - The triple 20 is the highest-value target on the board
• Stay consistent - Steady 60+ rounds add up faster than risky throws with frequent misses
• Know your strengths - If T20 isn’t reliable, T19 or T18 are solid alternatives
• In Target Score mode - Keep an eye on the finish line; you don’t need the highest possible score, just enough to win
