How does the Shanghai bonus work in the JDC Challenge?

Hit a single, double, and triple of the target number in one turn and you get 100 bonus points on top of their value. On 15, that is 90 points plus the 100 bonus.

What is the maximum score in the JDC Challenge?

3,380. That needs a single, double, and triple on every Shanghai target for all 12 bonuses, plus every double and the bullseye in the middle part.

JDC Challenge Rules - How to Play

The JDC Challenge is a 57-dart test that the Junior Darts Corporation uses to grade young players. It has 3 parts: on 10 to 15, 1 dart at every double and the bullseye, then Shanghai on 15 to 20. Your total earns a badge from White to Gold.

How to play

Throw the 3 parts in order.
In the Shanghai parts, throw 3 darts at each number. In the doubles part, throw 1 dart at each double.
Only hits on the current target score.
Your total across all 57 darts sets your badge.

The 3 parts

Part 1: Shanghai on 10 to 15

6 targets: 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15.
3 darts at each, 18 darts in total.
A hit on the current number scores its full value, so scores 10 and scores 30.
Hit a single, double, and triple of the target in one turn for a 100-point Shanghai bonus.

Part 2: Doubles and the bullseye

21 targets: through , then .
1 dart at each, thrown as 7 turns of 3 darts, 21 darts in total.
Each double you hit scores 50 points.
The bullseye scores 100 points. The outer bull scores nothing.

Part 3: Shanghai on 15 to 20

6 targets: 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20.
3 darts at each, 18 darts in total.
Scoring and the Shanghai bonus work the same way as in part 1.

The maximum score is 3,380.

Custom rule options

The JDC Challenge is a fixed format, so DartsOn has no adjustable rule settings for it. The 57-dart sequence, targets, scoring, bonuses, and badge tiers are always the same, and there are no leg or set settings.
