Doubles Rules - How to Play

Doubles is a precision training game where players must hit specific double segments in sequence. Progress through D1 to D20 by landing darts in each target’s double ring. Essential practice for improving your checkout game in X01.

How to Play

1. Players take turns throwing three darts per turn
2. Targets are presented in sequence (e.g., D1, D2, D3… up to D20)
3. Only a double hit on the current target number advances you
4. Hit the target to move to the next number; miss to try again next turn
5. First player to complete all targets wins

Target Order

Order	Sequence
Low to High	D1, D2, D3… D19, D20 (default)
High to Low	D20, D19, D18… D2, D1
Random	Shuffled order of D1-D20

Target Count

Choose how many targets to play:

Setting	Description
5 targets	Quick game
10 targets	Medium game
15 targets	Extended game
20 targets	Full board coverage (default)

Multiplier Bonus Mode

Mode	Description
Doubles Only	Only the double segment counts as a hit (default)
Count as Hit	Singles and triples on the target also count as hits

In bonus mode, singles count as 1 hit and triples count as 3 hits toward your score.

Optional Rules

Allow Finish Round

When enabled, all players complete the current round even after someone finishes. This gives trailing players a fair chance and can result in ties.

Strategy Tips

• Start with Low to High - Begin with lower-numbered doubles to warm up before tackling the higher doubles
• Practice the key doubles - D16, D20, D8, and D10 are the most common X01 checkout targets
• Use Random order - Simulates real game conditions where you don’t choose which double you need
• Track your progress - Compare hit rates across sessions to measure improvement
